He described himself as the Algerian "Funjuror" and as such he aimed, with success, to produce as much humor as possible. He was dressed in the conventional "evening dress" but wore a Turkish fez.

He opened with the "Chinese Snowstorm" (torn wet paper changing to confetti) and followed with the Diminishing Cards, The Hankerchief and Lemon trick followed and then the making of an omelette in a borrowed hat. A typical touch during this routine was where, having broken the eggs into the hat, he takes his handkerchief and casually flicks the brim of the hat as though removing surplus egg. He concluded the act by producing a large duck from a dove-pan.
