What-SAT Review by David Regal, Genii September 2015
Martin Lewis is a terrific
performer and thinker. This limited edition effect is a mind-reading
demonstration done with SAT flash cards of the sort one might use to build
vocabulary. A couple of routines are explained in the accompanying booklet, the
feature effect involving two spectators. Each selects a word from a thick stack
of the 3.75" x 5" flash cards, and the selections are fair (indeed,
different choices will be made with each performance). The performer is able to
reveal the words selected either verbally, by duplicating the word on a pad, or
by drawing a representation of the freely selected word.
The methods used to bring this all about are an assemblage of solid principles that have proven their worth, all folded into a lovely prop - a seemingly innocent stack of flash cards that pulls the plot out of the "book test" category. No memory work is necessary, and everything you need to do the trick, except perhaps a pad and pen, is included.
This is the kind of release that has clearly been worked out by a professional.
